Our first full day in the beautiful Kelowna. We were all awake early, even me, because back home it would have been late-I could get used to this! After a quick shower and granola bar, Chad, Mark and I went to pick up Verner at the airport. It was hilarious to wach him dicker with the car rentalsmen to have insurance cover him as well. We went to East Side Mario's for lunch and I had a yummy Philly Steak and Cheese Sandwich. Then we went back to the Hotel for a nap, I was whipped for some reason. At 3:00pm we went up to the mall to pick up Mark from a meeting. There we found a charm bracelet and got my first charm, Ogopogo, the lake monster you see here in this picture. I was so excited! Mom had suggested I try to get one in every different place we travelled to, I thought that would be fun, so it was great to get the first one! Following that we went for a walk downtown, found the Ogopogo (here we all are!) and got a yummy icecream. That evening we kicked off with the opening concert for our conference.
